Lithuania continues to actively support Ukraine by allocating an additional 13 million euros for recovery projects. The Lithuanian government has approved a decision to allocate these funds to the Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Assistance Fund. These resources will be used to restore key areas such as education and energy.

In particular, the fund has already implemented a number of projects in Ukraine: a school was renovated and a kindergarten was built in Borodyanka, a kindergarten was renovated and a radiation shelter was built in Irpin. A model School of the Future project is currently being prepared, as well as a program for the rehabilitation and reintegration of wounded and war-affected people.

“The help of our international partners is invaluable. Lithuania sets an example that Ukraine needs support now, and it should not wait for the end of the war. This gives Ukrainians hope for the country’s recovery and a better future,” commented Viktoriya Korsunova, Director of the Kyiv office of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund.

In addition, Lithuania continues to call on other countries to support Ukraine, regardless of the military situation. Lithuanian Minister of Finance Gintare Skeiste noted that reconstruction projects in Ukraine should encourage international partners to act quickly, strengthening Ukrainians’ faith in the future.

“The Ukraine Reconstruction Fund will continue to contribute to the recovery of our country by attracting international assistance and investment. We are working closely with our foreign partners to implement key social and infrastructure projects and support Ukrainians on their way to recovery,” emphasized Viktoriia Korsunova.

The URF continues to work actively to attract resources and expertise to restore the damaged regions, providing stable support for the country’s reconstruction in the context of war.
